OVERHAUL — Hope Shines Through (2006)

Hope Shines Through is the debut album by Scottish Rock and Alternative Rock band OVERHAUL. Released on 21st February 2006, the album introduced the band’s distinctive blend of guitar-driven alternative rock, grunge influences, melodic hooks and energetic songwriting.

Formed in Scotland in 1997 by American singer, songwriter and musician Andy Gallagher, OVERHAUL built their sound around powerful guitars, pounding drums, memorable vocal melodies and songs that combine raw rock energy with strong melodic songwriting. Hope Shines Through captures an important early chapter in the band’s history.

The album was written, recorded and mixed in Glasgow, Scotland, before being mastered in Canada. It was released through Mood Vertigo Recordings and remains an important part of the OVERHAUL catalogue, documenting the band’s early development and the foundations of the sound they would continue to develop across later releases.
